In all classes, if you qualify for the bye, you will not have the option to decline it. When we call each class to the lanes for and during eliminations, we will announce the bye run driver and number, and they will go to lane 7 for the wait and see bye. All other rules concerning bye’s remain the same.

JR Dragster paring:
In both Jr classes, round one will be on a ladder qualified by reaction time. Round two will be paired by inverting the round one results. (First winner will run the last loser). Beyond that they will continue on parings drawn from the round sheet as in years past.
We will reserve the right to change paring procedures at any event, based on car count, or any other factors we see, when necessary.

WDRA / CDRA Race of Champions Representative

The Jr Comp Champion will be given first right of refusal for these races. If the Jr Comp Champion declines either it defaults to the next highest points total in Jr Comp or Mod.

Junior Comp

RESTARTS: After initial start-up, one chance will be given to restart the car within a reasonable time at the starter’s discretion. The crew person should keep the starter close by in case its needed. Push starting any vehicle is prohibited.

AGE LIMITS: Junior Comp drivers must be a minimum of 10 years of age and may compete through the calendar year of their 18th birthday (Jan 1 to Dec 31). Falsifying DOB is grounds for disqualification or suspension at track’s discretion.

LICENSING: Holders of a WDRA AA/JR, A/JR and B/JR may compete in Junior Comp. DIAL-IN: During handicap E.T. bracket-style racing, each competitor must post his or her desired dial-in on his or her car in a manner clearly visible to the tower and available to his or her opponent. Reader boards must be attached to the car. Dial-in cannot be changed after the track-designated “ready line.”

BURNOUTS: Vehicles cannot be held in place or touched by a parent or crew member during the burnout.

PULL BACK: No pull backs are allowed. If a driver goes deep, they need to be ready to take the tree.

ET BREAK: WDRA AA/JR license holders, with AA/JR approved car, (ages 16-17) may dial as quick as 7.50. WDRA A/JR license holders (ages 12-17) must dial 7.90 or slower. WDRA B/JR license holders (ages 10-17) must dial 8.90 or slower. Maximum dial 15.00.

LANE CHOICE: During time runs racers wishing to run the right lane should line up in an even numbered lane, those wishing to run the left lane should line up in an odd numbered lane. There is no lane choice during eliminations. The fast car of a pair will go right first round, left second round, etc.

TOWING: Tow vehicles in the form of golf cart, three or four-wheel support vehicle is mandatory. Full-size tow vehicles prohibited. Driving of Jr. Drag Racing vehicle through pits is prohibited. Tow vehicle to be operated “ONLY” by an adult or street-licensed individual. Any time a Jr. Drag Racing vehicle is being towed, the driver must be seated in the cockpit. No passengers. The tow strap may not be attached to any point of the roll cage. It is recommended that all entries utilize a fluorescent or brightly colored flag attached to the entry any time the vehicle is being towed. Minimum height of flag is five feet.

WARM-UPS: Any time a car is started, whether in the pits or in the staging lanes, a qualified driver must be seated in the vehicle.



Junior Mod

DIAL-IN: During handicap E.T. bracket-style racing, each competitor must post his or her desired dial-in on his or her car in a manner clearly visible to the tower and available to his or her opponent. Reader boards must be attached to the car. Dial-in cannot be changed after the track-designated “ready line.”

PULL BACK: If a driver deep-stages and would like to be pulled back, they must raise their hand and THE STARTER will pull the car back into the pre-stage. The driver then will be allowed to stage again. Only one pull back is allowed. If a driver deep-stages a second time they need to be ready to take the tree.
